Hello Caroline, I’m afraid right now our departures are from Puerto del Carmen and Puerto Calero, but we provide a free pick up from Playa Blanca, which is only a 20 minute drive.

Do your trips cater for Children?
My 10 year old loves fishing more than me and would love a spot of fishing when we visit Lanzarote in September

Reply

Paco on August 1, 2011 at 11:58 am.

Hello Mathew, there is no problem fishing for children around 8 to 12 years, but I recommended Bottom Fishing for them because you can enjoy more fishing together and more entertaining for you.

Hello Andy, all fish caught is property of the boat, but I’m sure that if you politely ask the skipper he will let you take the fish you caught with you.

Hi
I have looked at your ticket website – Aquaticket, and it does not allow you to book for an observer at the lower rates you advertise. How do I book for 1 fisherman and 1 observer?
Thank you

Hello Mr Parsons, many thanks for your interest on fishing with us. However, I should have to tell you that on February we are not doing any marlin fishing as it’s too early (season usually begins at the end of May) and there would be very narrow chances of catching one. At the moment here in Lanzarote we’re catching plenty of skipjack tuna, wahoos, hammerhead sharks and white trevally. Hopefully soon we’ll be seeing some yellowfin tuna as they are usually here by march. In any case I sure you can spend and enjoy a day fishing with us.

Paco

Hi Steve, sorry for the late reply.
No problem whatsoever to come fishing with us even if you’re a novice. The crew is very used to having people on board that have never fished from a boat before. Just let them know once you are in the boat.

Hello Jerome, here in Lanzarote we have wahoos and skipjack all year round. Common catches in December have been Atlantic Bonitos and Albacore, and I remember last December we caught the biggest amberjack in ages. Fishing a shark would also be possible, usually it’s better in oct/nov, but we’ve had sharks in december in the past.

We are staying in P. del Carmen from 10 to 23 of november.
Is there a reasonable chance to catch fish in that period? or is fishing in november slow?
And if not is there roomfor two more fishermen on your boat?

Hello Peter, here in Lanzarote we have wahoos and skipjack all year round. Common catches in October have been yellowfin tuna, bonitos and dorados, and last week we caught the biggest amberjack in ages, 20 kilos. Fishing a shark would also be possible. Hi,
We have just booked a 1 week holiday from 11th – 19th August 2012, staying 10 minutes from Puerto del Carmen, my husband and 2 boys 15 & 13 would very much like to do game fishing, no experience but it seems you don’t need any with your trip. How many people go at 1 time and do you have any costs fro that time of year yet.

Many thanks
Miranda

Hello Miranda, sorry for the late reply.
It really depends on the type of trip you’re doing. On the Bottom Fishing trip we can take up to 20 people (please bear in mind the Katfish is a pretty large boat!) but on the Big Game trips with take a maximum of 8 fisherman.
I’m afraid we still don’t have our prices set for summer 2012, but if you book now, current prices will apply.

Hi all, I’ll be in Lanzarote, Puerto del Carmen from Dec 22nd till Dec 29th. Do you have any space available during this period and if so, what type of fishing do you recommend, bottom fishing or big game fishing? What type of fishing has better chances of catching anything. Hope to hear from you soon so I can make a reservation.

Regards,
Eelco

Hello Eelco, I’d say that the bottom fishing trip has higher chances of catching, but usually smaller fish that the big game fishing (the bigger the fish, the more difficult it is to catch it!).
