Great Manta fight
By Lanzarote Fishing | October 9, 2008
After a disasterous monday, yesterday was once again a great day of fishing on the Katfish. We started off the day with an Atlantic Bonito while trolling, and two more once anchored, as well as a three kilo barracuda using live bait. A bit later we had one of the most incredible fights in a long time, an hour and a half fighting against a manta ray (about 60 kilo) that quite unusually didn’t stuck to the bottom. Right after we released it, another one bit and it took us a another 45 minutes. And just as it happened on friday, we caught a 17 kilo wahoo while trolling on our way back to Puerto Calero. Let see how it goes tomorrow, as it’s meant to be very very windy.
