Two wrongs make two rights

After a couple of boring days without good catches, today has been quite exciting on the Margarita Segundo. Soon after we left, we caught quite a few Dolphinfish and Frigate Tuna; as they were pretty small (around one kilo) we put them back into the sea. However, we kept two Frigate Tuna, that were very handy when we saw a huge Hammerhead Shark near Lobos Island. After more than an hour fight, with an exausted fisherman, and the shark five metres away from the boat, the fish somehow released himself and he was gone. Similar luck half an hour later when we had a wahoo strike; as soon as we started reelin in, the wahoo flew away. However, our luck was to change soon after midday, when we had two wahoo strikes at the same time. It was an incredible 20 minute fight with both wahoos jumping at the back of the boat as if they were marlin. We don’t often see such an spectacular show. The sizes: 24 & 16 kilos.
