Puerto Calero Tournament – Review

Very little to tell about the XV Puerto Calero Fishing tournament. Basically, it was as dissapointing as these last few weeks of marlin fishing; 40 boats taking part in the competition and only five blue marlin caught (and released) in three days.A real shame as the weather was fantastic as the “September calms” are already here. For us in the Margarita Segundo.. not a single marlin bite, and all we caught was some dolphinfish. I really hope things begin to change for better, it’s not very normal to get so few marlin in a month like September.
